Why this blog?

I decided to become a librarian when I started to working at the General Library, University of Auckland in February 2006. Then I loved the working environment and I discovered a world so far was not part of my live, the Library.

Today I am doing a Master in Library and Information Studies - MLIS at Victoria University of Wellington. And as part of the requirement of assignment 2 of INFO 525, I needed to create a blog. I already have a blog in Portuguese, my native language. I am originally from Brazil and I have been in New Zealand since June 2002.

So I have decided to keep this blog to relate my experience in becoming a librarian, and I am an adopter of web 2.0 tools, so I am investigating ways to use those tools on libraries.
